2021 'The Barn' McLaren Vale Shiraz

From just seven or eight rows of dry grown vines in the sands of our Foggo Road vineyard, the 2021 Barn Shiraz has emerged as our dark horse. Once a weary shiraz block, it is being carefully nurtured, with Brad gently coaxing life and vigour back into the vines.

Colour: Deep ruby hue. 

Aroma: The nose opens with mocha, caramel oak and char, layered over plum, mulberry, dark fruits and spice.

Palate: Medium-full bodied with a juicy mid-palate, fine acidity and nicely grippy tannins and length.

Vegan friendly | Contains sulphites | Alcohol 14.3%

The Label: ‘The Barn’ label – handcrafted 40 years ago with rendered mud brick walls and recycled old beams. The Barn is a beautiful old structure overlooking Turraparri creek and now welcomes guests as our cellar door.
